Barbara Dickens

Barbara Battin Dickens, 90, of West Chester, PA, passed away on June 24, 2020 surrounded by family.

Born March 24, 1930 in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances Battin.

Barbara enjoyed substitute teaching at local schools and her employment with many daycare centers.She also enjoyed being surrounded by her family and spending time at the local senior center.

Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Shelton Dickens Jr ; loving mother of Ernest D. Dickens (Lela), Sandy Calderone, and Deborah Dickens-Hunter (Scott); adoring grandmother of Julian Calderone, Elizabeth Hunter, Catherine Hunter, Margaret Owens (Brent), Will Dickens, and Nolan Dickens caring great-grandmother of Harper Owens; and dear sister of John Battin (Parmie).

Services will be private for the family.
