Betty Schaeffer

Elizabeth Jane Schaeffer (nee Goggin), age 79, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on January 26, 2021.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis Patrick and Mary Margaret Goggin (nee Powers).

Betty Jane was a 1959 graduate of West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia.   She had been employed as a Secretary with Candy Sales and the William Penn School District.

Betty Jane is survived by her beloved husband, LaMar E. Schaeffer, her loving children LaMar Schaeffer, Jr. (Frances), Marianne Albanese (Tom), Patricia Ochs (Chris), Thomas Schaeffer (Elaine),  Michelle Johnson (Jim) and Tara McGrorty (Bill), and her dear grandchildren Andrew, Erin and Madeline Schaeffer, Marla and Hannah Albanese, Adam, Morgan and Cara Ochs, Isabella Schaeffer and Bridget, Kyle and Jake Johnson.  She is also survived by her siblings Marianne Thomas and Kathleen Buchanan.   Betty was predeceased by her brothers Francis and Jack Goggin.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass Monday, February 1, 2021 10:30 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA.  Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

Masks are to be worn to the Funeral Mass and Cemetery and Social Distancing is to be observed.
