Edward Gutowski

Edward J. Gutowski, age 84, of Havertown, PA, passed away on September 18, 2019.   Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Lucyan and Tess Gutowski (nee Szablak).

Edward was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was self-employed in the food and beverage industry.

Edward was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.   He loved sports and was an avid basketball and baseball player in his youth.  He enjoyed model trains with his grandchildren and loved playing cards.

In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his siblings, Caroline Gutowski, Louis Gutowski, and Helen Draper.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan F. Gutowski (nee Wisniewski), his loving children Edward Gutowski (Maryanne) and Joan Murtha (Timothy), his grandchildren Stephen Gutowski, Timothy Murtha, Christopher Murtha, Thomas Murtha, Samantha Gutowski, Jake Gutowski and Luke Gutowski and his great-grandson Franco Murtha.  He is also survived by his sister Mary Darrell and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Saturday, September 28, 2019 9:30-10:20 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Manoa and Shelbourne Roads, Havertown, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Sacred Heart Church at the above address would be appreciated.
