John Killeen

John J. Killeen, age 70, of Haverford PA, passed away on September 30, 2019.  Born in Philadelphia and raised in Glenolden, he was the son of the late Jack and Helen Killeen (nee McNally).  He is survived by his loving wife Eileen (nee Daly).  John was the proud father of Erin Coder (Kirk), Sean (Amber), Meaghan Fishbone (Matt) and Ryan (Ashley).  He was known as ‘Poppy’ to his adoring grandchildren Colin, Grace, Abby, Emily, Molly, Charlie, Caroline & Jack.

John was a 1967 graduate of Cardinal O’Hara, where he was affectionately known as ‘The Teen Idol’.  He went on to graduate from St. Joseph’s University with a degree in Food Marketing.  He had a long and successful career in the confectionery business, where he was known to colleagues as ‘The Candy Man’.

John touched the lives of everyone he met.  He was known for his generosity, outgoing personality, sense of humor and for always putting a smile on people’s faces.

John loved being down at the shore, watching the Phillies and Eagles and partaking in a cream donut or two.  But his greatest joy was spending time with his family.  He was the ultimate family man.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Tuesday evening, October 8, 2019, 6:00 – 9:00 PM at St. John Neumann Church, 380 Highland Lane, Bryn Mawr, PA  19010, and on Wednesday morning, October 9, 2019, 9:00 – 9:50 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.  Interment Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA.
