Marie Dooner

Marie “ReRe” (nee O’Donnell) Dooner, age 85, of Gladwyne, PA, passed away on December 27, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (nee Kavanagh) O’Donnell.

ReRe enjoyed golf, playing bridge, and traveling with her husband. She had such a generous spirit and was very strong in her Catholic faith. ReRe was a fantastic role model and was a very reliable friend. She was a Philanthropist who focused on education, the arts, and poverty. ReRe passed away on the Feast of the Holy Family which is fitting because she put her family first. Family was everything for ReRe and she got incredible joy from family gatherings.

ReRe was the beloved wife of the late Peter S. Dooner, Jr.; loving mother of Peter S. Dooner, III (Deirdre), Thomas Dooner (Jane), Diane Murphy (Brian), Amy Brennan, and Kate Loftus (Bob); adoring grandmother of 16 grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services and Interment are Private for immediate family only due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
