Patricia Hyland

Patricia T. (nee Toland) Hyland, of Havertown, PA, passed away on October 4, 2019, on her 92nd birthday.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1927, she was the daughter of the late Terrance and Anna (nee McCabe) Toland. She graduated from Temple University with a Master’s degree in Teaching. Patricia was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going to the beach in Sea Isle, NJ, and spending time with her family. She also was a longtime volunteer at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Hyland; loving mother of Mary Pat Walsh (Hugh), Lizanne Crosby (Bill), John F. Hyland (Ann); adoring grandmother of Patrick, Colleen, Brian, Caitlin, Brendan, Liam, Aidan, Dylan, Kieran, Ian, and Quinn; predeceased by siblings, Helen Fahy, Nancy Toland, Retie Zelinsky, Terrance Toland, S.J., and Francis X. Toland.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 6-8 PM Friday, October 11, 2019 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300, and 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday at Annunciation BVM Church, 401 Brookline Blvd., Havertown, PA 19083, followed by her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
