Thomas Rago

On June 17, 2021 Thomas A. “Tom” “T” Rago, age 65, of Havertown, bravely, peacefully and surrounded by love came to the end of his beautiful journey in his home. He fought a long courageous battle against a relentless cancer and taught his family and friends strength, dignity and how to live and die on your own terms.

Tom was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends both immediate and extended; he was the son of James C., Sr. and Anna M. Rago (nee Mottola).

Tom was married to the love of his life and best friend, Maureen Rago for 42 wonderful years and was a beloved father, friend, concert buddy, expert body surfer, rented boat captain, fisherman, playhouse carpenter, chef, confidant, and cheerleader who never missed an opportunity to say how  proud he was of his daughters,   Danielle M. Rago and Heather E. Williams (Joshua); adoring grandfather of Penelope “Penny”, Arlo, and Luna; caring brother of Elizabeth Bruderle (Gerry), James Rago, Jr. (Sue), Bernadette “Bonnie” Kronk (Ken), Mary Mowbray (Bill), and Barbara Gallagher (Kerry). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Wednesday, June 23, 2021 6:00-8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082 and Thursday, June 24, 2021 9:30-10:25 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 105 Wilson Ave, Havertown, PA 19083, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM.
