William Rainer

William C. “Bill” Rainer, age 80, of Springfield, PA passed away on December 30, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 23, 1940 to the late William & Catherine Rainer (nee Hettle).

Bill is survived by his children William (Katina), Nicole (Brian), Robert (Nadine); siblings Judy Matelli (Joe), the late Robert (Pat), John (Laura), Cathy Morgan (Dennis), Janice Mangione (John), and Joseph (Michele). Also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Bill graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1960. He was a proud member of the U.S. Army from 1964-1967. He began working at a power plant for Philadelphia Electric in 1974 and retired in 1992. He also worked as a Car Salesman for 24 years at Loughead Nissan. Bill enjoyed watching the Eagles and the Hallmark channel. He loved Sudoku puzzles, fishing with his family, and spending time with his family, especially during Christmas which was his favorite time of year. Bill loved the Jersey Shore, especially Ocean City, Bertucci’s, and the Dairy Cottage. He was a caring, generous, hardworking, and fun-loving person.

Services and Interment are for family only due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Friends can view the Funeral Mass via live stream on the Donohue Facebook page at 10:30 AM on Wednesday.
