Agnes Ayella

Agnes G. Ayella (nee Gaffigan), age 92, a 53 year resident of Merion, PA. passed away on April 29, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of William and Margaret Gaffigan (nee Fitzmaurice) of County Mayo, Ireland. She was a graduate of John W. Hallahan High School in Philadelphia.



Agnes was predeceased by her loving husband Alfred S. Ayella, Jr., M.D and her 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children Marybeth Ayella (Larry Silver), Joanne Barba (Rafael), Alfred Ayella, III (Anne), John Ayella, Joseph Ayella, and Sue Holton (Brian). Brother of Jack Gaffigan (Mary). She is also survived by her grandchildren Alfred, IV, Cristina, Caroline, Emily, Joseph, Michael, Charlotte, Anna, Rachel, Timothy, Julia, Elizabeth and her great-grandson Nicholas.



Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday, May 2, 2015 10:00-10:50 AM St. Matthias Church, 128 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.



In lieu of flowers, because of her love and dedication to feeding the poor, contributions in her memory to Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, 222 N. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 would be appreciated.
