Agnes A. Harris (nee Zahay), 92, of Downingtown, formerly of Phila., passed away on January 21, 2015.
Born in Eckley, PA, she was the daughter of Rudolph and Helen Zahay. She attended nursing school, and worked as a Registered Nurse.
Agnes was the beloved wife of the late John H. Harris. She was the loving mother of Stephanie Hickman (Francis) of Exton, Lance M. Harris (Frances) of Wenonah, NJ, and Guy Harris (Catherine) of Philadelphia; grandmother of Benjamin J. Harris (Lauren), Laura Thompson (Doug), and Elizabeth Harris.; great-grandmother of Julia Harris, Avery Harris, and Ralph Thompson. Agnes is also survived by her brothers, Joseph Zahay (Barbara) of Hazleton, PA and Albert Zahay (Joyce) of Surprise, AZ.
Agnes was an avid reader. She also loved playing bingo. She was a proud member of the Red Hats.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Thursday, January 29, 10:00 am-11:00 am, at St. Joseph's Church, 460 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, immediately followed by her Funeral Mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Joseph's Church, at the above address, would be greatly appreciated.
