Agnes V. Mayo (nee McLaughlin), 83, of Havertown, PA, passed away on November 4, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph, Sr. and Marie (nee Merrell) McLaughlin. As a devoted Catholic, Agnes always had her rosary beads in her hands and she prayed the rosary several times a day for everyone. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Elwyn Institute. After her retirement, Agnes enjoyed traveling to Disney World, taking day trips to Lancaster and seeing the ocean at the Jersey shore. Most especially, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Agnes was the beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Mayo, Jr.; loving mother of Thomas F. Mayo, Jennifer E. Salter (Sean), and the late Daniel J. Mayo; adoring grandmother of Liam, Maggie, Gavin, Meghan, and Patrick; predeceased by her siblings, Joseph McLaughlin and Mary Ellen Frederick.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9-9:30 AM Saturday, November 10, 2018 at St. Pius X, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008 followed by her Funeral Mass 9:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Catholic Social Services, 222 N. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, would be appreciated.
