Alan Lindsay Louderback, 88, of Valley Forge, PA and formerly West Chester passed away on January 27, 2025.
Born in 1936 in Philadelphia, PA, Alan was the son of George Henry and Dorothy A. (née Rhodes) Louderback.
He was a 1954 graduate of Germantown Friends School. He was the co-owner, with his brother, of Louderback Transportation Company.
He was a member of the King of Prussia Rotary Club, very involved with Hershey’s Mill in West Chester as a former President of Glenwood Village and a member of the Board of Directors. He was also a long-time volunteer of both Paoli and Chester County Hospitals.
Alan was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and was involved with Youth Ice Hockey. Above all, he was a true, dedicated family man, who always enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed their yearly trip to Aruba since 1985.
Alan was the beloved husband, for 65 years, of Connie (née Matt) Louderback; loving father of Lynne L. Ellis (Leonard), Scott J. (Cynthia), Kathleen C. and Brian Paul; grandfather of John Alan Nedelka (Hanniah), Sarah C. Ellis, Madison Louderback and Tabitha Louderback. Predeceased by his siblings, Lewis G. Louderback and Dorothy L. Cooper.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:30 AM Monday, February 3, 2025 and to his Funeral Service 11:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA. Interment private.
