Alan Marian

Alan P. Marian, age 73, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on August 15, 2021.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Adolf and Estelle Marian (nee Szmyd).

Alan was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Alan was a graduate of Haverford College, Washington and Lee University and received his Law Degree from Dickinson College.

Alan was an attorney for many years and most recently with Zurich Insurance.

Alan was a Revolutionary War and Civil War history buff.  He was a railroad enthusiast and authored the New Jersey Rail Historical Society.  He also played in many bands throughout his life.

Alan is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Patterson.  He is also survived by his aunt, Lois Cwiklinski (the late Casimir), his sister-in-law, Joan Husband (Dave), his nieces Kathy Woodard (Paul), Jill Husband (David Malit) and Sarah Husband (Jon Fischer) and his cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 8:30-10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA.  Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
