Albert J. DeFruscio, Jr. “Abby”, 71, of Broomall, PA, passed away suddenly December 17, 2024.
Born April 15, 1953 in Darby, PA, he was a son of the late Albert J., Sr., and Michelina (nee George) DeFruscio.
Abby graduated from Haverford High School in 1972. In his early adult years, he was a Manoa Fireman. He was a founding partner of JATVAC Inc. Abby was employed for over 30 years as Vice President of the Korman Corporation. Most recently, he was employed with the Galman Group.
Abby enjoyed spending summers in North Wildwood, playing golf, and attending all his grandkids sporting events. He was a devoted member of his community. His legacy of service and generosity will live on through the many lives he touched. Abby was an amazing cook and was known to host his family and friends for Sunday dinners. He loved to deliver donuts to his grandchildren every week in his 1967 Ford pick-up truck.
Abby was the beloved husband of 50 years of Marybeth DeFruscio; loving father of Albert J. DeFruscio, III (Michele), Michael DeFruscio, Paul DeFruscio (Bonnie) and David DeFruscio (Lindsay); adoring Pop-Pop of Allyson, Albert IV “John”, Kiera, Paul Jr., Devon, Amelia “Emmie”, Lexie, Andie, and Juliette; and dear brother of Thomas DeFruscio (Theresa), James DeFruscio (Laura), Charles “Chad” DeFruscio (Teresa), Judy Ann DeFruscio, Sally Ann Fiore (Gary), and Georgeanne Williamson (Jim). He was predeceased by his brother, Vincent.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitations 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Sunday, December 22, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 and 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM, Monday, December 23, 2024 at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 , followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
