Albert McFadden, Sr.

Albert E. McFadden, Sr., age 81, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on February 20, 2017. Born in Upland, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond I. and Dorothy A. McFadden (nee Bomhoff).



Albert was a graduate of PMC, now Widener University, and received his Master's in Business from Villanova University. Albert served in the United States Marine Corps, 3rd Battalion as a Lance Corporal. He was employed as a Teacher, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, Coach of several sports, Director of Summer School and Director of Maintenance at Haverford High School before retiring in 1993.



Albert was predeceased by his son, Albert E. McFadden, Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife, E. Louise McFadden (nee Zettlemoyer), his loving children Karen Dowd (Dennis Dick), Dorothea Cooper (Michael), Kenneth R. McFadden (Cathy), his 9 grandchildren Jennifer Dowd (Pat), Jacqueline Coche (Jason), Robert Dowd (Kelly), Michael Cooper, Brian Cooper, Kenneth McFadden, Jr., Kevin Cooper, Albert McFadden, III, Kyle McFadden, his 2 great-grandchildren, Natalie Keating and Caleb Coche and his brother, Raymond I. McFadden, Jr.



Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, February 23, 2017 7:00-9:00 PM and Friday, February 24, 2017 9:30-10:30 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Interment Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
