Alice Stanley

Alice M. “Dolly” Stanley (nee McComsey), age 75, of Honeybrook, PA, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2020.

Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Helen (nee Reynolds) McComsey.

Alice attended Downingtown High School and worked as a home health aide for the Pocopson Nursing Home.  In her younger healthy years, Alice enjoyed taking pictures with her Polaroid camera, as well short trips to the Chesapeake, get togethers, picnics, and trying new recipes.  She also loved to do jigsaw puzzles and crafts, watching old classic movies, and listening to country music.  She treasured most spending time with her family.

Alice was the loving mother of Daniel L. McComsey (Kathy), William L. Stanley (Michelle), Barbara A. Barron, Lisa M. Stanley (Steven Brown), Nancy L. Giare(Akash), David W. Taylor and the late Robert “Bobby” Stanley. She was the devoted grandmother of 17; great-grandmother of 24 and great-great grandmother of 5.  She was the dear sister of Leroy McComsey and Earl McComsey.  Alice was predeceased by siblings, Paul McComsey and Shirley Thomas, as well as her loving companion, James Taylor, and her former husband, William M. Stanley.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Tuesday, January 14, 2020, 10:00 – 11:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 West Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA  19355, 610-269-3080, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM.  Interment Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA.
