Allan H. Kennel, of East Goshen Township, passed away on February 1, 2018, following a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kennel, to whom he was married for over 50 years, and their two sons David (Lori) and Jeffrey (Cheryl), two grandsons Jackson and Samuel and his brother Byron. Mr. Kennel was born in Ohio but raised in Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1965 and served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. Following his military service, he returned to the University of Florida earning an MBA.



In 1969 Mr. Kennel joined the General Electric Company in their Human Resources organization. At GE he held positions of increasing responsibility in several of GE's manufacturing businesses. In 1988 he joined the financial services business of GE, GE Capital. At GE Capital he held a number of significant positions including, Managing Director of Human Resources, Europe, and Senior Vice President for Transport International Pool. His last position with GE was Senior Vice President, Human Resources for GE Capital International Service headquartered in New Delhi, India. His work at GE enabled Mr. Kennel to travel the world extensively and meet with a number of international business and political leaders.



Following his retirement from GE in 2003, Mr. Kennel engaged in a number of consulting assignments for domestic and global organizations. In retirement Mr. Kennel and his wife enjoyed visiting gardens in Europe and the U.S. He was a volunteer auditor for the Chester County Orphan's Court and a member of the Philadelphia unit of The Herb Society of America.



A Private Remembrance will be held for friends and family at a later date.
