Allen Deitch

Allen Deitch, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2016, at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA.
Born on June 23, 1931 in Palmerton, PA, he was the son of Meyer and Ida Deitch. He graduated from Hazleton High School in 1949 and from Pennsylvania State University in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
Following his U.S. Army service in 1953-55, he married Frances Grasso of Philadelphia in 1960. Living mainly in Havertown, PA, they enjoyed 47 wonderful years together until her passing in 2007. He was for many years a dedicated engineer at General Electric's satellite division in West Philadelphia and an active member of the Optimist Club.
Allen was a compassionate and loving man. He is survived by his nephews Jeffrey Deitch of Tokyo, Japan, Brian Deitch and his wife Stephanie of Arlington, VA and Ray Childress of Arlington, VA.
