Amarendu Roy Choudhury

Amarendu Roy Choudhury, 92, of West Chester, PA, passed away on September 1, 2021.

Born in Calcutta, India in 1929, he was the son of the late Suprendu Roy Choudhury and Champa Malhotra. Amarendu was educated in the US and received his PhD at Northwestern University. After graduating, he served as a Fellow at Princeton University for a year.

Amarendu spent his career consulting in the water purification industry around the world. After his retirement, he attended the University of Pennsylvania to learn Sanskrit and pursue his intellectual hobbies. In his free time, Amarendu enjoyed reading.

Amarendu was the beloved husband of Danute Roy Choudhury (nee Bajalis); dear brother of Roy Choudhury; caring uncle of Paul Choudhury and Sheela Andrews.
