Angela Marie Belfiglio

Angela Marie Belfiglio (née Viscido), age 97, of Springfield, PA, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 18, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Emil and Rose (née Gambale) Viscido.

Angela was a graduate of Immaculata College, Class of 1948.  She worked as an elementary school teacher for various school districts, beginning her career at the Patterson Elementary School, then Overbrook Elementary School, and lastly for 25 years, at Ardmore Elementary School, located in Lansdowne, PA.

Angela was a violinist and played with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, the Delaware County Community Symphony Orchestra, the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra, and the Rose Tree Pops.  She was a member of the Immaculata University Alumni, as well as a long-time member of St. Kevin’s Roman Catholic Church in Springfield, PA, where she also was a choir member for many years.

Angela was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Belfiglio; the loving mother of Robert P. Belfiglio (Denise), Dr. Stephen F. Belfiglio, Lorraine M. Belfiglio-Finnegan (Daniel), and Barbara J. Belfiglio-Fureman (Ian.)  She was the devoted grandmother of Bobby Belfiglio, Stephen Belfiglio, Brenda Belfiglio, Christina Belfiglio, Michael Belfiglio, Andrew Belfiglio, Gina Fureman, Jamie Fureman, Ben Fureman, Danny Finnegan, Catherine Finnegan, Emily Finnegan, and Jackie Finnegan.  She was the dear great-grandmother of Ava Belfiglio, Mya Belfiglio, Cecilia Riter, Luca Riter, Joey Battista, Jayden Battista, Julian DellAquila, and Genevieve DellAquila.  Angela was predeceased by her precious sister, Catherine Viscido.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Thursday, June 8, 2023, 9:30 – 10:30 AM at St. Kevin Church, 200 W. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA  19064, followed by her Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM.  Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.  Luncheon immediately following cemetery, at Anthony’s, 865 W. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064.
