Our beloved Angela Marie Grillo (LaLa) (Angie) entered The Gates of Heaven peacefully on April 4, 2023.
Born to Richard D. Grillo (deceased) and Betty Anne (Mannix) Grillo in Montgomery County, PA, her journey was unique because of the many challenges that were to come. Being special never meant being lesser than to those around her. Cherished and adored by all who loved and cared for her, Angela’s wide smile was instantaneous and heart-warming. Swimming was her favorite past time because she felt free when playing in the pool. We could only wonder what her eyes saw, her ears heard, and her brain understood, but her gentleness and inner peace were instantly felt. Just touch her hand, and she would smile and walk along with you. Whisper in her ear, and she would lean into your energy for a closer connection. Her giggles and laughing spells were infectious. She was so special that she experienced life in ways we could not even imagine. Angela’s innocence was evident even during each perplexing illness and miraculous recovery. Our Auburn Angel has reached the promised land with the family and friends that went before her. She now waits for those who love her to come and join her in paradise. She runs, dances and sings now, her everlasting reward after life here with us.
She is survived by her mother Betty Anne Grillo and Stepfather Salvatore Celestino of Beverly Hills, FL, her brother Richard D. Grillo, II (Aimee Joy) of Macungie, PA, Grandmother Bette McIntire of Gresham, OR, Stepsiblings Kathleen Celestino of San Diego, CA and Stephen Celestino of Port Saint Lucie, FL, and many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews all across the United States. She was predeceased by her loving Father Richard D. Grillo, Grandparents Thomas E. Mannix, Sr., Madeline “Nellie” Grillo and Michael V. Grillo, Uncle Thomas E. Mannix, Jr., and Great Aunt Jean Dinnini.
