Angelina "Angie" Catania (nee Capriotti), age 86, of Rosemont, PA, died peacefully on Sunday, April 5 at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville, PA.
Born in Lower Merion, PA, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Dominica Capriotti (nee Ciotti). She was a 1946 graduate of Lower Merion High School. After graduating high school, she married the love of her life, Johnny Catania on January 8, 1949.
Angie worked as a waitress at the St. David's Inn for 25 years. After retirement, she enjoyed an active life style chasing after her grandchildren and enjoying her trips to the casino to "donate" her money.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Catania. She is survived by her children Marie Teter and husband David, Steve Catania and wife Tami, Jay Catania and wife Meg, 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, her brother Edward Capriotti and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Thursday, April 9, 2015 9:30-10:20 AM Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Road, Bryn Mawr and to her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
