Angelina (Anne) DiRico (nee Cascio), age 93, of West Chester, PA, formally of Broomall, passed away on July 8, 2016.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 11, 1922 to the late Nunzio and Antonina Cascio (nee Curreri).
Anne was the beloved wife of the late Ernest J. DiRico. She was the loving mother of Joseph (Jane) DiRico, Ernest (the late Donna) DiRico, Raymond (Debra) DiRico, and Stephen (Analen) DiRico; devoted grandmother of Stephen (Michelle), Kathryn (Andrew), John, Raymond (Sarah), Scott, Alexandra, and Thalia; loving great-grandmother of Nicholas, Lindsay, Caroline, Elliott, and Christian. She was predeceased by her brothers Cosmo and Joseph and her sister Katherine Brown (nee Cascio).
Anne was a devout Catholic who was always loving, caring and unselfish and was the happiest when surrounded by her family. She enjoyed baking and cooking, playing cards with family and friends, along with painting and playing the organ. She was a 50 year resident of Broomall. She and Ernest were founding members of St. Pius X Church and for many years, she was a member of Sodality of Our Lady.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Wednesday, July 20th, 9:30 - 10:20 AM at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 South Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in her name to St. Agnes Church, 233 West Gay Street, West Chester, PA 19380 or Brandywine Hall, 800 West Miner Street, West Chester, PA 19382.
The DiRico family is grateful for the love that Anne received from the caregivers at Brandywine Hall Nursing Home, particularly Barbara James, and Neighborhood Hospice.
