Angelo R. Golato, age 83, of Lansdowne, PA, passed away on November 2, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Panfilo and Giulia Golato (nee Basilico). He was a graduate of Overbrook High School. Angelo had been employed as a machinist with the Swell Chewing Gum Factory in Havertown. He was a proud Italian who loved spending time in the Wildwoods. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean war stationed at Pepperall Air Force Base in St. Johns Newfoundland
He is survived by his beloved wife Josephine (nee Noel), his children Catherine J., Angelo A. (Cheryl), Michael J., Mark A. (Phyllis), David J. (Jolie), and John M. (Patricia) Golato, his 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brothers Al James and Nicholas Golato and his nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Mass Saturday, November 8, 2014 10:00 AM St. Philomena Church, 41 E. Baltimore Avenue, Lansdowne, PA. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
