Ann Aspinall

October 30, 1992 — June 7, 2015

Ann Louise Aspinall, age 22, of Berwyn, PA, passed away on June 7, 2015.

Annie was the beautiful and beloved daughter of Donald "Sandy" and Carolyn (nee Nourie) Aspinall, and dear sister of Peter, Nathan and David. She was a pure and gentle light in this world, a young woman of compassion, conviction and strength. She graduated from The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr in 2011 where she attended for nine years. Annie was fully immersed in her life there, involved in theater, field hockey and lacrosse. She was also a co-leader of the Japan Club and traveled to Japan with a group of students during the Spring of her senior year. As a talented writer and avid reader, she spent two summers during high school at The Young Writers' Workshop at The University of Virginia. Her greatest passion and talent, though, lay in art, specifically drawing and painting. An introspective young woman with a quiet demeanor, she felt she had found her voice at Shipley through art and was encouraged by her teachers Christine Wagner and Steve Baris for whom she had a deep affection. She continued her studies at Franklin and Marshall College before transferring to Rosemont College where she was currently pursuing a B.F.A.

While her life was tragically cut short, she left a meaningful and lasting mark in the world with the time that she had here. There could not be a more loving daughter and granddaughter, devoted sister or truer friend. She judged no one, always reached out to the marginalized and was committed to a life of simplicity and purpose which stemmed from a deep faith and spirituality. Her greatest joy in this life was always connected to nature. One of her most recent highlights was hiking in Switzerland with her father and she kept a framed photograph of this by her bedside. She loved to garden and cook and never came across a creature or pet that she didn't want to adopt and care for. Her dogs, and pet chicken were all lavished with her affection. She was a gift and a blessing and was so deeply loved.

She is also survived by her grandmother Ellen Lloyd (Gates Lloyd) and her grandfather Richard Nourie (Martha Brown) and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Annie was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Donald B. Aspinall and her maternal grandmother Laureen Nourie (nee Hogan).
