Ann Marie Basden

Ann Marie Basden (nee McGettigan), age 59, of Drexel Hill, PA passed away on September 11, 2022. 

Born in Darby, PA to the late John A. and Elizabeth A. (nee O’Neill) McGettigan, Ann Marie was a proud graduate of St. Bernadette School, Archbishop Prendergast High School, class of 1981 and Villanova University, class of 1985. She worked as a nurse for the Crozier Hospital for over 30 years. She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, cheering on the Phillies and Eagles and loved spending time with her beloved pets. Ann Marie loved spending time on the beach in Brigantine and was the life of the party.  She was a devoted member of St. Bernadette Church.

Ann Marie is survived by her beloved children Andrew M. Basden, Matthew J. Basden and Jesse T. Basden, her cherished siblings Michael, Eileen, Daniel, Edward, James, Betsy and Megan and her nieces Samantha (Jack Hudson) and Jacklyn and nephew James. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Tim Carr and her sister-in-law Tina McGettigan. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Mike in 2015 and her brother John.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Monday, September 19, 2022 from 9:30 AM -11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Providence Animal Center, 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063 would be appreciated.
