Ann Burke

Ann Marie Burke (née Fowler), passed away peacefully on October 31, 2020.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio in April 1936, she was the daughter of Albert and Genevieve Fowler.

She attended St. Joseph’s Academy in Cleveland where she met many life-long friends.

She received her teaching degree at University of Dayton and later completed her B.S in education at St. Joseph’s University.  At Dayton, she met her husband Bernie of 61 years and together they raised 4 children.

Ann was a grandmother of 26 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.  Her grandkids will always have great memories of sleepovers, cookie days, playing school in the basement and countless other events that Grandmom made special. She was a devout Catholic and inspired faith in all her family.

Ann was preceded in death by her father Albert and her mother Genevieve; her siblings Frank, Jack and Mary Jane.

She is survived by her brother Albert and sister Margaret; her children Bernard, Mary(William), Michael(Mary) and Ann(John); 26 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00-10:00 AM Saturday, November 7, 2020 at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St, West Chester PA followed by her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM.  Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA
