Ann Gloria “Glo” Reilly (nee Amandelora), age 94, of West Chester PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on September 26, 2023. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph John and Mary Emma Amandelora (nee Bradley).
Ann grew up in Elizabeth, NJ and Bala Cynwyd, PA with her parents and sisters Mary & Kitty. She graduated from Lower Merion High School and set off into the working world where she met her soon to be husband Jack in the mortgage business. They married and began a life together after Jack’s return from Korea. Ann and Jack started a family of ultimately six children in Springfield and then later Drexel Hill. Jack joined his father in the real estate business in SW Philadelphia while Ann made a warm, comfortable, and stable home life for her family.
Ann and Jack enjoyed spending time with their friends, playing bridge, going to shows, and spending summers in OCNJ. Ann’s family has many memories of Jack taking long weekends to spend as much time as he could in Ocean City, spending all day at the beach, parties in the “alley”, and plenty of night life for everyone. Ann took over the real estate business in 1984 after Jack’s untimely death. She was a quiet but strong role model and led her life with dignity and selflessness. Mom/Mom-Mom could always be counted on for her advice and was a great listener.
Like her father, Ann was an avid Phillies fan having attended the 1950, 2008, and 2009 World Series. If there was a Phillies game on you always knew how to find her and get the score. She had a great sense of humor and kept you on your toes. Her children and grandchildren are grateful for the unwavering dedication and loyalty to her family. She was the caretaker for her son Matt, aka “Uncle Bunky,” until it was physically impossible for her to do and she never once complained about this responsibility or in her eyes a privilege. Needless to say, there is a huge vacuum created by Ann’s passing, but her family knows she is now at peace and for that they can take solace. RIP AGR.
Ann was the beloved wife of the late John F. “Jack” Reilly, Sr.; loving mother of Dr. John F. Reilly, Jr. (Cornelia), Suzanne Reilly Luzi (Albert), Ellen Reilly McMenamin (Edward), Maureen Reilly Montani (Robert), Matthew W. Reilly and Joseph J. Reilly; adoring grandmother of Katie Luzi Costantini (Anthony), John F. “Jack” Reilly, III (Julie), Mary Emma Reilly Clendenny (Ryan), Kristen Luzi Delaney (Sean), Dr. Kelly Luzi Allan, Patrick A. Reilly (Dr. Rachel), Benedict J. Reilly, Cornelia Ann Reilly, Kara Luzi O’Brien (Jake), Erin Reilly McMenamin (Ben Verdi), Joseph E. McMenamin, Matthew D. McMenamin, and Emily Reilly; caring great-grandmother of Julia Costantini, Olivia Costantini, Michael Costantini, John F. Reilly, IV, Jameson S. Reilly, Henry J. Clendenny, George L. Clendenny, Connor Delaney, Ryan Delaney, Jack Allan, and Luke Allan; devoted sister of Mary Bent and the late Katharine Seifrit.
