Ann Sorace

Ann H. Sorace (nee Kenney), 84, entered into eternal peace on Friday, January 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 8, 1933 in Darby, PA, graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1951, received her nursing diploma from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in 1954, resided for many years in Havertown, PA, and lived in Oxford, PA. Ann worked for nearly two decades as a Registered Nurse at Haverford Hospital. The daughter of the late Edward A. and Helen V. Kenney (nee Burns), Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Benjamin C. Sorace, Sr., siblings Edward A. Kenney, William Kenney, and Rita Harrison. She is survived by her eight loving children Diane Boyle (Claudio Baccile), Benjamin "Buddy" (Amy) Sorace, Jr., Monica Sorace (Jack Lewis), Christopher Sorace (Kristin Keller), Helen "La La" Herzog (Andy), James Sorace (Nancy Pease), Patty Coyle (Tom), Kathy Sorace, and an army of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ann is also survived by her brother, Raymond H. Kenney.



Ann enjoyed scrapbooking with her daughters, playing May I until all hours of the night, building jigsaw puzzles, was an avid mystery reader, and a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan. As a teenager, she met the love of her life in Wildwood, NJ, hence, her love for the beach. Nothing was more important to Ann than spending time with her family. All who knew Ann remarked on her strength and grace in every situation.

Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Inc.
