Anna Mutavich Gattuso

Anna Mutavich Gattuso, age 94, of West Chester, PA, passed away on July 7, 2023.  She was born Anna Catherine Mutavich on December 1, 1928 in Lebanon, PA.

Anna was a 1946 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Lancaster, PA in 1950 as a Registered Nurse. Anna received certification as a Nurse Anesthetist in 1954 from The Lancaster General Hospital.

Anna was a Staff Nurse Anesthetist at Methodist Hospital, Philadelphia, PA from 1957 to 1962 and a Staff Nurse at Artman Lutheran Home, Ambler, PA from 1969 to 1985. She served as Director of Nursing Care at that institution from 1985 to 1993. Anna then served as Director of Nursing at Edge Hill Nursing Rehabilitation Center, Glenside, PA from 1994 until her retirement.

Anna married John Joseph Gattuso on September 22, 1956. Her children include a daughter Kimberly Ann Langan (husband Michael Langan) and John Steven Gattuso. Grandchildren are Justin D. Boyer, Lt. Philip M. Boyer, Rachel E. (Boyer) Ianacone and Maryanna Tate Gattuso, as well as four great children.

Anna was a resident of Maple Glen, Pennsylvania until 2010 and a member of St. Alphonsus Parish, most recently resided at Wellington at Hershey’s Mill in West Chester, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at SS Peter & Paul Church, 1325 Boot Road, West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
