Anna Marie Greeley

Anna Marie Greeley, age 90, of Collingdale, PA, passed away November 7, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Alberta M. Greeley.

Anna was employed in the travel industry with UnTours in Media, PA.  She worked there until the age of 86.

Anna deeply loved her family and close friends.  As a graduate of Philadelphia's West Catholic High School, she embodied a blue-collar work ethic and unrivaled tenacity for life.  She raised her only son, Tom, as a single mother in Los Angeles and they later returned to Philadelphia.  She worked as a bookkeeper and office admin throughout her professional tenure.

She exhibited pride in her independence whether it was riding the bus or trolley to work or just walking in her neighborhood completing errands.  Anna was straightforward, witty, and authentic all wrapped into one persona.  Family and close friends bestowed her with the moniker “Crazy Grandmom”, which she forever embraced.  She enjoyed drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee, studying astrology, chatting on Facebook, taking vacations to the shore and watching her unofficial TV boyfriend, Chuck Norris.

She crafted an indelible legacy of love, humor, and pride.  Anna was Philly tough.  Anna altruistically helped those in need.  She actively donated to various charitable organizations.  Through her exuberance and grace, she left the world a better place.  Anna emulated her older sister, Theresa, through her independence and strength. She is now reunited with her brother Jake and her baby sister, Joyce, who she missed dearly.  Her family and friends loved her very much!   

Anna was the beloved mother of Thomas F. Crow (Barbara Jayne); the loving grandmother of David Francis Crow, Brian Joseph Crow, and Thomas Ryan Crow.  She was the devoted great-grandmother of Ryan and Jaxson Crow.  Anna is survived by her sister, Theresa Hall (the late Asa Hall), and is predeceased by her siblings, Joyce Edwards (Ken) and Jake Greeley (the late Dorothy).

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Saturday, November 11, 2023, 10:00 – 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA  19073, 610-353-6300, followed by her Funeral Service 11:00 AM.  Interment Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA.
