Anna Marie Cashion

Anna Marie Cashion (nee Ankerson), age 75, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away on August 15, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 14, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William and Sophia Ankerson.

Anna Marie was a former resident of Darby, PA and Wallingford, PA, before moving to Garnet Valley, PA.

Her work career began in the newspaper industry and ended in the insurance industry. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Swarthmore for many years. She also volunteered her sewing talents to make costumes for the Drama Club at St John Chrysostom School and to Ryan’s Cases for Smiles to make pillowcases for pediatric oncology patients. She volunteered for many years for the Friends of Alexander Deihl. Anna was an avid reader. She enjoyed book clubs, sewing groups, going to the theatre, trips to Longwood Gardens and Williamsburg and vacations with friends.

Anna Marie is survived by her beloved husband, Jack Cashion. Loving mother of Jacqueline O’Connell (Paul, Jr.), of Newtown Square, PA. Dear grandmother to Paul Matthew O’Connell, III (Nicole) of Wallingford and Allison Cashion O’Connell of Newtown Square, PA and great-grandmother of McKenzie O’Connell of Wallingford, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 9:00-11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (Cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be private.
