Anna Roney

Anna Marie Roney (nee Sheeran), age 92, formerly of Havertown, PA passed away on May 2, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Mary Ellen Sheeran (nee Connolly). Anna Marie was a 1939 graduate of West Catholic Girls High School. After raising her children, she was employed by Friendship Circle Senior Center in Darby, PA.



Devoted wife of 59 years to the late John J. Roney. Loving mother of Eileen R. (Dominick) Chillemi, Noreen R. (Christopher) Conley, Ann Marie (Clark) Power, Ph.D., Kathleen Roney, Ed.D., Denise (Joseph) McGonigal, Jacquelyn (the late John) Mack, John M. (Theresa) Roney, Meg (John) Harrison, Susan A. (Michael) Klein and Stephen F.X. (Mary) Roney. Proud Gram to 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Patricia Sheeran. Sister-in-law of James and Patricia Roney and Nancy Rooney. Predeceased by her sisters Eileen C. and Margaret T. Sheeran and Catherine Martin.
