Anne Marie McCafferty

Anne Marie McCafferty, age 69, of Havertown, PA, passed away Friday March 1st, 2024. 

Anne Marie was the loving mother of Maryanne Kent (Harry); devoted grandmother of Michaela and Meghan Kent; and caring sister of Joseph McCafferty, Patricia Givgliano (the late Frank), Jack McCafferty (Beth) and the late James McCafferty (Debbie). Anne Marie is also survived by her lifelong best friend Loretta Stott (Steve).

Anne Marie graduated from Camillus Mercy School of Practical Nursing in 1974. She worked as an LPN for Delaware County Memorial Hospital for 46 years. She gave the most genuine loving care to all of her patients and their families.

She played softball for DCMH and passed her love for the sport onto her granddaughters. She was their number one fan and loved watching their games.

She was known as “Grandmom Mc” or Aunt Annie to children everywhere.

One of her famous lines was, “Let me make you a plate.” She would feed, comfort, and care for everyone; even total strangers she treated like family. She always stopped to help people in need and helped stray animals find their way home.

She enjoyed trips to the dog park, country line dancing, and a cold Miller Lite with friends at the American Legion. 

Her legacy of compassion and generosity will live on through the countless lives she touched and her prayers will continue to bless us all.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Thursday, March 7th, 2024, 9:30AM to 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Church, 105 Wilson Avenue, Havertown, PA 19083, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment private.
