Anne Zumbo, ebullient and steadfast wife and mother, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, October 22,nd 2014.
Originally and proudly hailing from Philadelphia, Anne (her father lovingly called her "Anna") also lived joyfully in Mickleton, New Jersey where she, along with her devoted husband Joseph, raised her two children Anthony and Matt. The couple then moved in semi-retirement to Willards, Maryland.
Anne was born on September 26th, 1935. She was one of four siblings and was the last remaining of her immediate DiTomasso family.
Over the years, Anne held many jobs. Some of the varied trades she conducted consummately included work as a florist, a travel agent, and a chicken farmer. But Anne was most gratified by her advocacy for the blind in her time spent working for blind industries of Willards, MD.
Anne was a woman of tremendous enthusiasm, resolve and, generosity. She had an innate ability to charm and entice laughter from the most hardened of souls. She was most content when surrounded by boisterous familial laughter, which she most often was at the center of. This joyous laughter could only ever be outdone buy her own desire to sing aloud with great fervor and reveal her true and innocent heart. She will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 11:00 a.m.
