Anthony Joseph “Tony” DeRose, Jr., age 81, passed away on August 5, 2023 at Crozer Hospital of Cancer complications.
Tony was raised in Southwest Philadelphia and attended John Bartram High School. He then joined the U.S. Air Force before becoming a Pipe Fitter at various locations including Boeing, Westinghouse, Limerick Power Plant, and Philadelphia Navy Yard. Tony loved his cats, going to church bus trips, watching the old Black and White classic movies, and renting videos “in the day.”
Tony was the loving husband for 49 years of Patricia A. DeRose (nee Mondock); caring brother of Linda Venditti (Michael); adoring uncle of Michelle Ferrill (Steven), and Maria NiBlock (Marc); beloved great-uncle of Ashley (fiancé-Ryan), Brielle, and Kyla. He was predeceased by his parents Anthony DeRose, Sr. and Minnie DeRose (nee Marker).
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:30-11:30 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave, Morton, PA 19070, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
