Anthony James (Tony) Mingioni, Jr., 77, of West Chester PA, passed away on Saturday March 27, 2021. Born in South Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Josephine Mingioni (nee Pino) and the late Anthony Mingioni Sr.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife of almost 47 years, Kathy Mingioni (nee Garland); loving children Bridget Keeley (Matthew), Gina Mingioni, Kate Grass (Justin); his 5 adoring grandchildren Jamie Keeley, Fiona Keeley, Miles Keeley, Sullivan Grass and Caleb Grass; and his dear siblings JoAnn Gandolfo (John); Joseph Mingioni (Carol) and Lucille Pelosi (John).
After 40+ years in retail, many of those years spent with John Wanamaker, he ultimately retired from Macy’s in 2007. He spent his remaining years doing what he loved most: spending time with family and friends, enjoying great meals (Italian was his favorite), great Italian red wine or sometimes a good scotch and a cigar. A lifetime Eagles fan, one of the great joys in life was watching them win the 2018 Superbowl surrounded by his family.
Tony was a truly cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family with fierce devotion and loyalty. He could make even the saddest person smile just by being near them. He leaves behind a lifetime of laughter and memories for all who ever crossed his path.
Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a private service and burial for the family only.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital , and Paoli Memorial Hospital in Paoli, PA, would be appreciated.
