Antionette George

Antionette George (nee DiLuzio), age 81, of Havertown, PA, passed away on September 4, 2021.   Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Josephine DiLuzio (nee Pepe).

Antionette was a 1957 graduate of West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia, PA.  She was a loyal, devoted, caring, funny and feisty woman.   She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, her siblings, and her neighborhood friends from Havertown, Overbrook and 49th Street in West Philadelphia.

Antionette loved going to the Jersey shore with her family.   She enjoyed Harrah’s Casino, having lunch at Mrs. Marty’s Deli and the Dairy Cottage, and coffee with the neighbors.  She also enjoyed doing cryptograms, had a sweet tooth and cooking for holiday meals.  Her sausage and peppers, meatballs and ricotta cookies were legendary.

Antionette is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Clement A. George.  Loving mother of Clement George, III (Dawn), Rosemarie Tulli (Vincent), Joanne Graham (Joseph), Cathy Randazzo (Anthony), Anne Dougherty (Paul) and Michele “Mickey” DiFilippo (Justin).  Dear grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.   Sister of Joseph DiLuzio (Linda), Clara Gallagher (Daniel), Diane Povine (the late Dominic) and the late Michael, Louis, Rosemarie, Rita and Robert.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Saturday, September 11, 2021 9:30-10:50 AM at Presentation BVM Church, 204 Haverford Road, Wynnewood, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.   Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
