Arlene McGranaghan

Arlene McGranaghan (nee Slesser), age 70, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Wallingford, PA, passed away on June 5, 2021. Born in West Philadelphia, PA to the late Earl and Lucy (nee Tartaglia) Slesser.

Arlene was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School. She was employed as a salesperson for the Daily Local News, and had previously worked at Main Line Today Magazine, Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, and New Castle County Chamber of Commerce.

Arlene was a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors for the National Association of Membership Development.  She was also a member of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Arlene widely traveled throughout the United States, Western Europe, and Canada. She was a 25 year season ticket holder to the Philadelphia Eagles. She was an avid golfer and was a member of North Hills Country Club.

Arlene was the beloved wife of 48 years to Patrick J. McGranaghan; loving mother of Sharlyn Price (Mark), Patrick McGranaghan (Kate); caring Grammy of Amelia, Ian, Murphy, Maeve; and dear sister of Donna Ryan (Don), her niece Emma, and the late Eugene Slesser.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at SS. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Afterwards everyone is invited to the Parish Center for light refreshments.
