Arthur I. Unruh, 78, of Elverson, PA passed away on July 8, 2016.
Born in Phoenixville, PA in 1937, he was the son of the late Dewitt I. and Marion (Whisler) Unruh.
Arthur served honorably in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and worked as an automotive mechanic for Bud Gring's Exxon in Morgantown for 33 years, from 1952-1993.
He loved working with, raising and riding horses. He rode his first horse, "Sandy", a Palomino, from Morgantown to Elverson.
He was the beloved husband for 54 years of Lillian R. (Jennelle) Unruh; dear brother of Dewitt Unruh (Terry), William Unruh (Robin), Paul Unruh (Kris) and Barbara McGinnis (James). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday at the Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, 610-269-3080 followed by his Funeral Service 11:00 AM. Interment at Goodwill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Elverson, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Mrs.Lillian R. Unruh, 11 St. Rose, Elverson, PA 19520 would be appreciated.
