Audrey Burg

Audrey F. Burg (nee Kurtz) age 98, of Wayne, PA, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on August 17, 2017. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Florence Kurtz (nee Sendall).
Audrey loved Bingo, Search-A-Word puzzles, reading and writing letters. She was a member of the Wayne Senior Center, a volunteer for decades in the Meals for Services program and a member of the Retired Service Volunteer Program (R.S.V.P.), She loved Atlantic City, NJ and her trips to the casino. In her younger years, she was a caregiver before hospice was ever mentioned as an option.
Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband, Aloysius E. Burg and her loving daughter, Carole Burg. She is survived by her daughter Janice Burg Bates and her son Philip C. Burg & his wife Sharon Burg, & her Granddaughter Carla Burg Bates.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday, August 21, 2017 2:00-4:00 PM The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA (610) 989-9600 and to her Funeral Service at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Wayne Senior Center, 108 Station Road, Wayne, PA 19087 would be appreciated. The family extends it's gratitude to Holistic Care Hospice Berwyn PA for their care and compassion.
