Austin Lathrop

Austin Edward Lathrop, age 88, of Springfield, PA, died suddenly on December 17, 2020 while recovering from sepsis and COVID-19. Born in Norwich, CT, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Frances Lathrop (nee Kinney).

Austin was known for his mechanical prowess, his engineer’s eye, his love of hunting & fishing and his gentle, genial nature.

Austin was the beloved husband of Joyce Lathrop (nee Savastio) and devoted father of Austin Lathrop, Jr. (Kathy), Peter Lathrop (Rena), Stephen Lathrop, Claudine Mansberry Lathrop, Lisa Lathrop, Lance Lathrop, and the late Lori Boyle Lathrop. Also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Due to the pandemic, services will be scheduled at a later date.
