Barbara Bloemker

Barbara A. Bloemker, age 84, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on February 22, 2022.   Born in Philadelphia, PA, Barbara was the daughter of the late Philip J. and Catherine Bloemker (nee Dunn);.

Barbara was a graduate of Delaware County Community College.   She had been employed as an Office Manager/Bookkeeper for Sutton Terrace.

Barbara was a devoted Catholic and a parishioner at St. Laurence Church and  taught CCD  She was an avid reader, with a sharp mind, who was not afraid to speak freely when she felt the need.  She loved playing Free Cell and Word Find Books.   She enjoyed knitting and sewing and volunteered at the Providence Center.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Galvin.   She is survived by her sister, Janet Edmunds, her niece Gwyneth Mulligan (John), her nephew Rhys Edmunds (Susan), great-niece Violet Edmunds and her cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Monday, March 28, 2022 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.   Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
