Barbara Ann Clupper, 90, of Media, PA, passed away February 22, 2023.
Born May 14, 1932 in Wabash, IN, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Marjorie (nee McClintock) Schlemmer.
Barbara received her Registered Nursing Diploma in 1953 from the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Medical-Surgical Nurse at Wabash County Hospital, Wabash, IN, Southwestern General Hospital, El Paso, TX, Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN, and Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media, PA. In 1982 she joined the American Red Cross in Philadelphia and was a site collection manager. She was a licensed RN in PA, DE, NJ and Indiana; and retired from nursing in 1995.
Barbara was an avid crafter, over the years knitting, sewing, painting and quilting everything from Christmas decorations, doll clothes, socks, scarves, sweaters, table runners and quilts for all her kids and grandkids. She was determined to learn and master any type of arts and crafts, following in her Mom and sister’s path of creativity. She loved to laugh and was a fierce advocate for her family, especially her grandchildren, supporting her grandchildren in their squash matches, piano concerts, karate, and lacrosse and volleyball games. Honesty and loyalty to family were qualities that she held dearly and has passed on to her children and grandchildren.
Barbara was the beloved wife of almost 70 years, Harold Eugene Clupper; loving mother of Katherine Clupper (Jim Domenick), Susan Jones (Kevin Jones), and Thomas Clupper (Karen); proud grandma of Alexander Domenick (Lindsay), Matthew Domenick, Sarah Domenick, Ryan Dayton (Steven Oliver), Adam Steijger (Kelly), Sara Hayton (Rich), Michael Clupper (Meredith), and Mollie Clupper; adoring greatgrandma of Ava Steijger, Winston Steijger, Annika Hayton, Lane Hayton, Sylvie Clupper, and Hazel Clupper; and loving aunt to her nieces. She was predeceased by her son, Steven Michael Clupper, her grandson, Zachary Dayton, and her sister, Lora Nora (Pat) Reed.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday March 10, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA, 19382, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial is private.
