Barbara F. Mynott (Bobbie), age 88, of Newtown Square, PA, a beloved member of the community, passed away on May 2, 2024.
Born in Houston, TX and raised in Narberth, PA, she was the daughter of the late John L. Folk, Jr. and Martha Van Landingham Folk.
Bobbie was a graduate of Bucknell University, class of 1956, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with remarkable achievements and meaningful connections. Among Bobbie's proudest accomplishments along with her husband Geoff, was being the co-recipient of the Bucknell Alumni Association Award for outstanding loyalty and service to the university. She was also a member of the DAR, player on the Merion Golf Club Women's Team, Operations Co-Chair of the 1989 USGA Amateur, Co-Founder of Tyler Hedges Day in Devon, PA and was actively involved at Dunwoody Village. Her unwavering commitment to serving her community and making a difference in the lives of others will always be remembered.
Family was at the center of her world, and she found true happiness in nurturing those relationships that meant the most to her. She was not only a culinary enthusiast who expressed her love through cooking but also an avid gardener and dog lover. Her passion for creating delicious meals and cultivating beautiful gardens brought light and warmth to all those around her.
Bobbie's adventurous spirit led her to travel the world extensively with her husband, exploring countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Her curiosity about different cultures and people enriched her life and enabled her to touch others.
Bobbie was the beloved wife of Geoffrey P. Mynott for 67 years; the loving mother of Geoffrey P. Mynott, Jr. and John A. Mynott (Linda); the devoted grandmother of James G. Mynott and Lily G. Mynott. She is also survived by her caring sister, Martha DeWees, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
