Barbara Wood

Barbara "Bonnie" Fisk Wood, 74, of Exton, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly in her home on December 13, 2018.

Born March 24, 1944 to Charles and Lois (Craig) Fisk in Passaic, New Jersey, Bonnie was raised in Clifton and Wyckoff and graduated from Ramapo Regional High School in 1962, then graduated from Douglass College with a Bachelor's Degree in History, and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. She was a proud "Jersey Girl" and many of her friendships from high school and college endured throughout her life.

After college, she went to The Ohio State University for her Master's Degree in Psychology, where she met her first husband with whom she would move to the great state of Pennsylvania, and raise two sons, Doug and Steve. A doting and beloved mother, she showed her sons how to create a full and meaningful life, even when it is punctuated at times by disappointment and loss.

In 1993 she married the love of her life, Clyde Hall Wood, and shared only four blissful years with him before she was widowed. Through Clyde she gained two step-daughters, Betsy and Jody, and two step-sons, Peter and John.

Bonnie was a devoted grandmother known as "Grammy" to her four grandchildren and "Gammy Bonnie" to her ten step-grandchildren. She was a deeply loved friend to many and her most treasured times were the weeks she spent at Stone Harbor, New Jersey, with her girlfriends. Despite thousands of miles of distance, she was the best friend and daily confidante of her younger sister, Gerrie. Bonnie had an uncanny ability to form life-long friendships wherever she went, including her time working for Tate's Company, Provident Mutual, and Nationwide. She was known to all for her warmth, kindness and generosity, her easy laughter, and her candid, witty, and poignant Christmas letters.

She leaves behind her sister, Gerrie Vendegna, and husband Ernie, of Denver, Colorado, her son Douglass Lacey, wife Marie, and their children, Charley and Julia, of West Norriton, Pennsylvania, her son Steven Lacey, wife Heather, and their children, Jonah and Emma, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, her step-daughter Betsy (Wood) DeCecco, husband Anthony,

and their children, Luc and Isabel of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, her step-daughter Jody (Wood) Yatcilla, husband John, and their children, Cassie, Tim, and Grace of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, her step-son Peter Wood, wife Amanda, and children, Solomon, Halo, and Sophia of Lake Sammamish, Washington, and her step-son, John Wood, wife Tara, and their children, Cooper and Scarlett of Downingtown, Pennsylvania.

Relatives and friends are invited to a remembrance service in celebration of Bonnie's life 10:30 am Friday, January 4, 2019, at St. Teresa of Avila, 1260 South Trooper Road, Norristown, Pennsylvania, 19403. A luncheon will follow at 12:00 pm, Chadwick's Restaurant, 2750 Egypt Road, Audubon, Pennsylvania, 19403.
