Beatrice L. Kriebel

Beatrice “Bea” L. Kriebel (née Lawton), 94, of Lafayette Hill, PA passed away on February 27, 2025.

Born in 1930 in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold Elliott and Laura Virginia (née Ford) Lawton.

Bea was a proud graduate of Chester High School and West Chester University, where she cultivated her passion for education and teaching. Throughout her life, she embraced her role as a loving mother and substitute school teacher, pouring her heart and soul into nurturing her family and students. Bea was most proud of her devotion to her family and her determination to work through the challenges that life presented her. 

Bea was the beloved wife of the late A. Carl Kriebel, Jr.; loving mother of Leslie Houck (Jeffrey), Carl Kriebel (Carolyn), Kurt Kriebel (Betsy), and Gretchen Horan (Daniel); dear grandmother (affectionately known as “Miz”) of Brent, Jennifer, Chad, Sarah, Erik, Patrick, Andrea, Megan, Bridget and Daniel; great-grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren; and dear sister of the late Marjorie Seivwright.

 Burial will be private.
