Beatrice Lord

Beatrice M. (Bea) passed away peacefully with her family members around her on May 19, 2013. Bea was a long time resident of Wayne, but most recently a resident of Spring Mill Manor and Rosemont Presbyterian Homes. She was an avid gardener, amateur artist, homemaker and reader, devoting her time to family and community. Bea was a former Board of Director for the Radnor Historical Society, and former Scout leader. She helped to tutor Vietnamese refugees and integrate them into the community. She and her late husband, Bill Lord, acted as tour guides to the Finley House in Wayne for many years and both were active, long-time members of St. David's Episcopal Church in Wayne. She will be missed by many.



Bea is survived by her daughters Findlay Kendrick and Amy Shields, son Jay W. Lord III, her grandchildren Amanda Kimball, Molly and Scott Shields, Chelsea and Sarah Lord and her great-grandchildren William and Samantha Kimball.



Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service Friday, May 24, 2013 10:00 AM St. David Episcopal Church, 763 Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to St. David Episcopal Church at the above address would be appreciated.
