Belinda Sermons

Belinda Sermons (nee Smith), age 69, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on September 3, 2021.   Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Mattie Smith and the late Green Smith.

Belinda graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School in Philadelphia, PA.  Belinda was employed as a Bookkeeper for Schmidts Brewery.

Belinda loved playing the piano, sewing, and singing in the Church Choir.  She enjoyed baking, especially pineapple upside cake.  She kept meticulous records and photographs of her family from births, first words and vacations.

In addition to her mother, Belinda is survived by her sons, Alfred Sermons (Yvette) and Brian Sermons, her grandson Samuel Sermons, her sister, Olivia, and her brothers Gloyd, Green, Jr., Michael, David , Oscar, Sr., James and Raymond.   Belinda was predeceased by her brothers Mark and Gregory   She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 AM at Risen Hope Church, 1001 Washington Avenue, Prospect Park, PA and to her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.   Interment will be private.
