She attended St. Roberts Elementary School to 8th grade and then went to Chester High School till 10th grade. She was married for over 47 years to the love of her life, Orville. She lived in Brookhaven, PA and was a member of Our Lady of Charity Church for over 40 years before moving to West Chester, PA with her daughter in 2000.
Bernice, Mom, Grandma at a very early age was a hard worker.
She helped her family and that continued as she had one of her own.
Her main purpose in life was to support and do for her husband and children. She was an avid reader, seamstress, gardener of flowers and vegetables, loved to crochet and play cards, and though she didn't like to cook she was amazing at it. And to this day, her recipes are still made by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She loved the beach and the feeling of the bright warm sun.
She spent many summers with her family at the shore creating memories for a lifetime.
Her home was a place that always felt safe.
She was the first person to pull out all the goodies and food when you arrived.
She would put in late night calls to Grandpa with special ice cream orders to be brought home to her family from their own ice cream stand.
She had a heart of gold and always put others before herself.
She always made it known that you take care of your family first and foremost.
We can only imagine the moment she was in the presence of our God, and Grandpa waiting for her asking, "Mom, what took you so long."
